AMERICAN POLITICAL HERITAGE: A SHORT REVIEW

United States is known as one of the best country in the world, in terms of politics. This country was the first country in the world to introducing democracy system to the world, and United States spreads them throughout the rest of the world. Many believe that the reason why United States regarded as leading country in Democracy System is because their system is up and running for a long time, went through century. If we trace back, the United States politics system has a strong platform: a very solid heritage that passed American’s Democracy value which used until now.

 

“It’s the act of remaking history into a legacy, the heritage that passed on by generation to generation, in order to make a better, sustainable government of United States” (Herwitz, 2012). The heritage can be traced when the British Government rules on American Soil. They established a government which brings a lot of rules that binding the loyalty of the Colonies. Tea Act (an act that allow customs official to implement duties on stamp imported to the Colonies, Sugar Act (an act that allow customs to give duties on sugar imported to the Colonies), were among two most controversial act issued by British Government to fund their war debts. These acts will lead fellow Americans for expressing their disagreement in many ways, rebellious one (such as the notorious Boston Tea Party) or in a legal way (by a Congress). United States held their first Congress for addressing urgency for oppose British Government. On these Congress also fellow American reorganizing their strength, forming more solid army, appointing George Washington as the Commander, and so on. On this era also Thomas Paine’s Common Sense was introduced, which consists of a protest for British Government.
